Shona Stark presents ‘How’s it going?’

In partnership with the State Library Victoria.

Interpersonal intimacy, connection and disconnection are investigated through questioning and the questioning of questions. How do we relate to one another, present ourselves and how are we perceived by others? What language is used, what are acceptable forms of language and what do we reveal to one another in the professional, public and private spheres? Varying levels of openness and vulnerability, irritation and intimidation are playfully explored.

Shona Stark is an Australian/German artist, lecturer and multi-disciplinary designer based in Berlin. Working conceptually, often with language, communication and understanding she utilises different formats such as sound installation, installation, performance, photography and video. Through rhythm, repetition and intonation, she employs a simplistic, open language.
