MaggZs presents ‘Chinese womanhood as an artist, situated in Kunming, China and Melbourne Australia’

Hosted by SIGNAL

I would like to explore a cross-cultural examination of being a Chinese woman, artist-researcher, on the subject racial alienation, honouring and learning from anxieties as a foreigner on temporary visa, and healing from internalised generational and personal trauma through arts and community.

MaggZ is a Naarm-based movement and multidisciplinary artist, specialised in waacking - a freestyle dance originated in 1970s LA from the LGBTQIA + community. Traversing amongst battles, performances, creative directions and more, MaggZ aspires to honour the unique being of self and others
